Jan Zielonka, Professor of European Politics at the University of Oxford and an eminent scholar of the European Union, was a guest of La Trobe University and the IUEU Centre in May 2007 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome.  He gave public seminars in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney (hosted by the Australian Institute of International Affairs), Newcastle and Brisbane and university seminars at La Trobe, Flinders, Macquarie, Griffith and Newcastle universities. His presentations were very well received by audiences around Australia.
