Prof. Sasha Roseneil - IUEU Centre and the Departments of Modern History and Sociology at Macquarie Sponsored Speaker. Prof. Roseneil, co-director of the Birkbeck Institute for Social Research, University of London, gave a lecture entitled "Intimate Citizenship in Multi-cultural Europe" on the 29th July at Macquarie University.

Prof. David Goldberg, IUEU Centre visitor. David Goldberg's visit to Australia from 28 May to 3 June was as part of the programme of the IUEU Centre involved activities in three states.

Mr Bodo Richter, Programme Manager for Australia, Directorate General of Education and Culture (DG EAC) in the European Commission visited the IUEU Centre at Macquarie University and presented a seminar on the EU and Exchange Studies on 9th April 2008.

As part of its activities to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, Murdoch University and the Innovative Universities European Union (IUEU) Centre presented a public lecture on Monday, December 10, 2007 by Dr. Kristina Spohr Readman, lecturer in international history at the London School of Economics.

Professor Brigid Laffan has recently undertaken a tour in Australia. Her visit to Australia was part of the IUEU Centre’s continuing program of events to mark the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome.

A group of five delegates from the International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER) School at Malmö University, Sweden, will visit Macquarie University on Monday 15 October.
